My joining is premature as I do not have a Scrambler but have identified a 2019 Cafe Racer that looks good to buy. It would be used for urban and occasional rural riding.

Hi there, @JCrider. Welcome to the forum! That 2019 Cafe Racer sounds like a fun choice, especially for mixing city streets with some weekend countryside runs. Are you leaning toward any mods, or keeping it mostly stock?

I have yet to make the decision to buy the machine. It does have a Zard slip-on fitted that replaces the OEM. My intention would be to keep it close to factory stock. It is very low mileage and is in excellent condition. The decision is more a question of whether I want this style of machine.

That makes sense @JCrider. The style question is usually the real deciding factor. The Cafe Racer has a very specific feel and riding position, so it’s worth being sure it fits how you actually ride day to day, especially around the UK.

The UK weather over the past two weeks is incessant rain resulting in local flooding and road closures. This has prevented me making the trip to view the Cafe Racer. I am hoping to view the machine later this week and make my decision.
