Rear shock upper bolt issue

I was out riding when I noticed the rear end felt a little of and unstable over bumps, so I got back home and checked things over, turns out the upper bolt on the right rear shock had backed out almost halfway, though it hadn't fallen out completely, but it was definitely on its way there, thankfully no real damage that I can see and the shock itself isn't bent, I tightened it back up with some blue Loctite for now but now I'm a bit on my guard and wondering if this is a known issue with these bikes because I know I followed torque spec well when I last had the shocks off, so this caught me by surprise

Man, that could've ended badly, glad you caught it in time. Good idea with the Loctite and retightening everything. I wouldn't call this a common sight, but the vibrations could be the culprit here. In any case, double check the bolt every now and then just to be safe

Did you happen to check the threads on the bolt or mounting point, maybe there's wear or cross-threading that kept it from holding torque properly even with the right spec?
