ECU Autotune Rumors

Just curious, bec I've seen posts elsewhere saying newer bikes since 2015 have ECU autotune that kicks in if you idle for about 15 minutes, and that there's no remap needed. Anyone tried this or know if it's for real? Does it actually help after an exhaust change or air mod? Appreciate any insights!

Yeah, yeah. I've heard that rumor too, but most stock ECUs don't "autotune" beyond minor fuel trims. For real gains after exhaust or intake mods, you'll still need a proper remap or piggyback tuner.

I seriously doubt something like this is even possible and even if it was I seriously doubt Ducati would do that. Sure, the ECU may learn your driving habits or some conditions, but I don't it's capable of remapping itself when you do some mods to it.

Hey @rabbit4486, late to the thread but I’ve messed with a few Scramblers post-2015. Both @scramble. and @scrambledeggs are on point. Stock ECUs might tweak fuel trims a bit, but real gains after an exhaust or intake mod still need a proper remap. What mods are you thinking of doing?

On a side note, your usernames seem to be a match @scramble. and @scrambledeggs hah.
