Help needed on PIN reset

So here's my problem. I got a 2019 Monster 821 (gorgeous, I know). I am the second owner and the previous owner do not remember the PIN for Melcodiag.
Tried to reset it, but it warned about losing my Termignoni exhaust tune if I reset anything. Any ideas how to resolve this?

Hey, I'm curious if you've sorted this one already? Melcodiag can be sensitive so I imagine how it could be tricky for you! For sure, resetting the PIN typically means a full ECU reset, which would indeed wipe your Termignoni tune. I think the best that can be done is to reach out to a reputable Ducati specialist or a tuning shop that deals with Ducati ECUs. They might have a way to access or reset the PIN without affecting the map, or they could re-flash the Termignoni map if it does get wiped.

I'm all in for diy, but something like this can be a problem, especially if you mess it up. It hink your best bet is a dealership. They'll ask you for proof of ownership and they should get you sorted.

This is a tricky spot. Definitely a good idea to back up the map if you can before you poke around. It would really suck to lose that tune
